140-mile transmission project – complete rebuild. The existing 230kV line was composed of steel lattice towers and wood H-frame structures. The new 345kV line was built with direct embed steel poles backfilled with rock or concrete and structures on concrete foundations. The primary purpose of the project was to improve reliability and provide relief to a congested electrical grid. INTREN also performed ROW tree clearing.
